Peter P. Rojas, M.D.
Dr.
Rojas is a native of Victoria, Texas, having
graduated from University of Texas, Galveston,
Texas. He completed his internship
at John Sealy and affiliated Hospitals in
Galveston, Texas. He then went on
to serve 3 years as Captain in the USAMC.
Here he served as the Director of Korean
Orphanages in Camp Humphreys, Korea, and
Director of ER services at Darnell Army
Hospital, Ft. Hood, Texas. Dr. Rojas
then completed his residency at the University
of Texas in Galveston, Texas. He joined
Victoria Surgical Associates in 1978 and
holds appointments in many of the area hospitals. At
DeTar Hospital he currently serves as the
Trauma Medical Director and a member of
the Executive Committee. At Citizens
Medical Center he serves on the Trauma Committee.
Dr. Rojas is also the Co-Director of the Guatemalan Surgical Mission and a member
of the Texas Surgical Society, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and as Board
of Governors for the American College of Surgeons. He also serves on both
the Regional and Golden Cresent Regional Advisory Councils.
