Matthew T. Janzow, M.D.
Dr.
Janzow received his medical
degree from Washington University – St.
Louis, Missouri. He then
completed his internship
and residency in general
surgery at The University
of Kansas in Kansas City,
Kansas. There he was awarded
a certificate as the outstanding
Chief Resident. After his
residency Dr. Janzow served
on active duty in the United
States Navy as the USS Enterprise Battle Group
Surgeon. After this he served as a teaching
staff general surgeon and critical care teaching
staff in the general surgery residency program
at Naval Hospital – Portsmouth
in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Following his naval service
he began practice in Victoria,
Texas with Victoria Surgical
Associates. Dr. Janzow holds
appointments at Detar Hospital,
Detar North Hospital, and
Citizen’s
Medical Center. At Detar
Hospital he is the Vice Chairman
of the Trauma Division and
a member of the Physician’s
Leadership Group and Quality
Council. At Citizen’s
Medical Center he is on the
Trauma Committee and Cancer
Committee. He is also Board
Certified in Surgery and
a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons.
